Six Senses Yao Noi

As you may well know the Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas Group is the creator of award-winning and exceptional guest experiences in places of incredible natural beauty. According to their website their crafted experiences are delivered by a wealth of experts from diverse backgrounds, from visiting spa practitioners and celebrity chefs, to star gazers, marine biologists and even their own paragliding professional. These fascinating folk complement their dedicated hosts and help to establish the Six Senses’ uniqueness.

The Six Senses brands are synonymous with a unique style – authentic, personal and sustainable, and in harmony with individual surroundings. While being part of the local fabric, they are in tune with the wider world. They adapt seamlessly to host cultures in an environment that evokes wellbeing, supported by outstanding anticipative service and attention to detail.

Last year the Imperium Lifestyle team we lucky enough to the Six Senses Yao Noi resort which supposedly sets the highest benchmark for island resort living in Asia. The attention to detail and focus on the unique destination reinforces the brand’s commitment to sustainability. Pool Villa accommodations provide generous personal space, a variety of views and present an uncompromised lifestyle. Natural materials used in the modern architecture, together with a beautiful island setting and excellent personal service, support the Six Senses philosophy of creating exceptional experiences.

During our time there we were afforded the opportunity to upgrade to the most luxurious villa on offer, The Retreat. This villa clearly demonstrated the Group’s ability to intertwine luxury with natural beauty. There was a large infinity edged pool, two master bedrooms with separate walk-through dressing areas and bathrooms with outside showers. It offers specialized wine fridges and an in-villa butler. A large living room has direct access to the pool and large terrace area with sun loungers. The full amenities included a kitchen, private bar, personal safe and hair dryers, IDD telephones, espresso machines, tea and coffee making facilities. Satellite TV, DVD player, Bose hifi system with docking station for a personal iPod and breathtaking views of the Phang Nga Bay.

The resort is secluded and secure with private beaches and mangrove walks amongst it’s vast array of facilities. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly and will ensure you make the most of your trip. In terms of dining the resort offers six options from light lunches whilst enjoying the stunning views at the Hilltop Reserve, to dinners in the relaxing setting of the suspended day beds located within the Den. The food itself is exquisite, well thought out and varied allowing you to try something new and tasty for nearly every meal.

The experiences on offer then allow you to make the most of your days whether you want to relax or explore. Well thought out excursions to local areas of natural beauty, diving, snorkelling, waterspouts, long tail boat trips, yatching and much more ensure there is always something on offer which will take your fancy. We cannot recommend Six Senses and especially the Yao Noi resort enough following our incredibly memorable stay there.
